This artwork was a lot of bottled up things coming out. It's incredibly relieving to draw sometimes.

I rather like working with heavy contrasts and these particular colours. I've used the same method in an older painting of mine called "us": [link]
The colour choice red and blue you'll find in many of my pieces. To me those colours combined always give a sense of intimacy.

I think I might actually like the background better how it was the first time; not quite black. I liked how there was structure in it.
Other than that, I still love this piece. There is a lot of strength in it. It might actually be very awesome if you did a series of this style.

Iget a desperate, and hopeless feel out of this. Like one has reached the point of the needle. I agree with Ginny, The piece is strong, but I liked the background on the other better. The texture gave it feel.

In real life both are just as black/ textured, it is just really dependant on the scan. Thanks for your comment
